PAYMENT

Cost:
$ 90 / one hour session / individual therapy
$135 / hour and half session / couples therapy

I am a fee-for-service provider of relationship counseling for couples and individuals. This means payment is by cash, check or charge at the time services are rendered. I do not take insurance payments or co-payments because insurance companies require that a diagnosis of a mental disorder is stated on the claim requesting coverage for therapy. I work primarily with relationship issues, whether with couples or individuals. As a general rule, insurance companies do not cover “marriage therapy” or “relationship counseling.” I can readily give you a receipt for “couples therapy” that can be filed with your insurance company or flex plan to determine if they will reimburse you in part or whole.

I do offer a sliding fee scale for qualified individuals or couples that can be developed in the first session so that you have a clear understanding of how much your therapy will cost and plan accordingly.

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR IMAGO RELATIONSHIP THERAPY OR THE IMAGO WEEKEND WORKSHOPS?

Actually, therapy with a Certified Imago Therapist or attending the Imago couples workshop is appropriate for you if you want to enrich a good relationship; if you are beginning a relationship you want to keep; if you are in a difficult relationship and want to resolve longstanding conflicts; or if you are near break-up and want to decide if the relationship can be saved.

The Imago singles workshop or individual therapy with a Certified Imago Therapist is appropriate for you if you are single, disillusioned with love and relationships and never quite seem to meet “the right person;” if you are divorced, and struggling to discover “what went wrong” and “what can I learn from my experience of significant relationships;” if you are widowed, and searching to “begin again” but are not sure how to be in another relationship.
